Community Affairs
What does the Community Affairs Chair do?
- Has the privilege of identifying and recognizing our members' volunteer efforts within the PHRMA association and in the community in which they do business and live
- Contacts new and established members about volunteer leadership opportunities within the association
- Identifies service needs and community programs and presents this information to the PHRMA Board
The PHRMA Chapter has donated time and money to several very worthwhile community organizations over the years. To name a few:
New Avenues for Youth, Junior Achievement, Committed Partners for Youth, Families in Good Company, local Women's Shelters, the Boy Scouts "Explorer Program," and Schoolhouse Supplies.
What can you do to maximize your value in your PHRMA membership?
You can contact Michael Stachowiak, Director of Community Relations, at michaelsbrokerdevelopment@gmail.com , or 971-275-0567 if you:
- are interested in volunteering your talents in the association
- are interested in networking
- are interested in obtaining new skills
- are interested in letting me know about your volunteer activities within your community and about the program, organization, association or cause you are involved in
From time to time PHRMA receives requests to assist non-profits in setting up or enhancing their HR function. If you've been thinking of volunteering in
the community, this may be a great opportunity. Please contact those listed in the message below if this is of possible interest to you.
