PHRMA Lunch Program for August

Topic: How to Succeed, Stay Sane, and Have Fun At Work

Speaker: David Rabiner

Date:    Wednesday August 20, 2008

Time:     11:30 AM  - 1:00 PM

Location:     Doubletree Hotel Lloyd Center,1000 NE Multnomah

As HR professionals, we are at our best when we are both influential within our organizations and fully enjoying our work. Ironically, it is the same basic tool — principles-driven behavior — that helps us both succeed as HR professionals and keeps us resilient and energized regardless of the challenges that are thrown our way. In this program, David Rabiner takes a deeper look at principles-driven behavior, offering a three-step process for turning powerful principles into personal virtues. While rich in content, this program is fun, smart and fast-paced.

Participants will leave this program with greater insight on:

• How to accelerate their development as HR professionals by clearly identifying core principles and demonstrating behaviors consistent with those principles;

• How to stay grounded in the "ever-changing, no-two-days-alike" life of an HR professional.

• How to build credibility and influence among the internal customers they serve.

About the Speaker:

David Rabiner is a leadership and personal effectiveness speaker/trainer based in Portland, Oregon.  Since 1993, he has worked with more than 1,600 groups in 44 states and 12 countries.  His clients include Fortune 500 companies, associations, government entities, and non-profits.  David is a graduate of the Edward R. Murrow School of Communications at Washington State University.  In 2003, he assed rigorous standards to earn the coveted Certified Speaking Professional designation, the worldwide benchmark for speaking excellence and a designation currently held by fewer than 500 speakers worldwide.  In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family, golfing, and flying, having recently received his private pilot’s license.
